Gareth Chaplin, South African Polo Coach has been to visit us here at Ranksboro to give lessons. Absolutely amazing and brilliant instructor who gave all that he taught a powerful and fulfilling experience. Gareth will be coming back in August, so if you wish to book a lesson, get in touch asap

Sian Barnacle from Oakham School and a member of Ranksboro Polo has been selected for the SUPA Polo Team. Sian has been having lessons with our very own Joe North since Pony Club and now has a handicap of 0.
Sian was spotted by Jane Phelps at Rugby Polo during a school match arranged by Ranksboro and Rugby Polo. Sian was then asked to attend a day session at Rugby Polo where she completed a series of trial tests and finally played in a match at Longdole Polo Club. This game then led to selection and a game to be played at Kirklington Polo. This is an excellent achievement and we are all here to support Sian! Well done.

Joe North has been playing away at different clubs. These include Summit Media weekend at White Rose Polo Club in Yorkshire, Inglesham Polo Club and Kirklington Polo Club. Joe has experienced a really good standard of Polo so far this season and also won ' Best playing Pony' on our very own Fillalli ( or Fillis as we know her as!). Joe will be playing in the Assam this weekend ( 8-11 July) at Rutland Polo Ground and continues to coach the Cottesmore Pony Club Polo this season. Joe will be back off to New Zealand again this October to play their summer season.

Oakham and Uppingham Schools have enjoyed their season of Polo this year. Matches have been played against Rugby, Wellington and Shrewsbury Schools and also friendly matches with the two local teams. The schools will be continuing their polo enthusiasm over the coming winter season.

New foals have all been born safely this year at Rankboro and are all colts!. Soley's new colt arrived first, followed by Torda's dun colt, Carrie with a dark bay little man and finally Angel with another dun little chap. All are cheeky, fun and growing well.
